Strongly Homotopy-Commutative Monoids Revisited
We prove that the delooping, i. e., the classifying space, of a grouplike monoid is an H-space if and only if its multiplication is a homotopy homomorphism, extending and clarifying a result of Sugawara. Furthermore it is shown that the Moore loop space functor and the construction of the classifying space induce an adjunction of the according homotopy categories. 2000 Mathematics Subject Class...
متن کاملHigher Conjugation Cohomology in Commutative Hopf Algebras
We study the action of the symmetric group Σn on a tensor product of n − 1 copies of a commutative Hopf algebra A, defined by the second author [8]. We show that for ‘nice’ Hopf algebras, the cohomology algebra H∗(Σn;A⊗n−1) is independent of the coproduct if n.(n − 2)! is invertible in the ground ring. Let A be a graded, connected, unital, counital, associative, coassociative Hopf algebra. In s...
متن کاملNon-commutative Hopf algebra of formal diffeomorphisms
The subject of this paper are two Hopf algebras which are the non-commutative analogues of two different groups of formal power series. The first group is the set of invertible series with the group law being multiplication of series, while the second group is the set of formal diffeomorphisms with the group law being composition of series. The motivation to introduce these Hopf algebras comes ...
متن کاملHomotopy Operations for Simplicial Commutative Algebras
The indicated operation algebra is studied by methods dual to the usual ones for studying the Steenrod algebra. In particular, the operations are constructed using higher symmetries of the shuffle map and their "Adem relations" are computed using the transfer map in the cohomology of symmetric groups.
